Stable Structure with CFFIM Technology

02 Stable Structure with CFFIM Technology

• Carbon Fiber Frame Integrated Molding (CFFIM)

The NimbleTrack 3D scanner features a groundbreaking design with an integrated carbon fibre frame, eliminating the need for assembly or splicing.

This innovative approach enhances the stability and reliability of its high-precision measurements, ensuring consistently accurate results.

This technology has been officially recognized with the patent certification (CN222013042U), which was authorized in November 2024.

Carbon Fiber Frame Integrated Molding

The innovation addresses a common issue found in mainstream 3D scanners, which often use carbon fibre and metal frames assembled from separate parts, with targets placed around them. This design often leads to lower structural stability.

To address this issue, the R&D team adopted CFFIM technology. During the moulding process, dozens of parts were embedded into the structure for connecting optical imaging components later.

This process eliminates the instability that can occur with traditional pipe splicing.

The challenge, however, was substantial, requiring advances in both molding and carbon fiber layering techniques. After extensive testing, optimization, and fine-tuning, the team successfully refined the design, making it ready for mass production.

NimbleTrack 3D scanner

A standout feature of the NimbleTrack 3D scanner is the integration of one of the target sets around the laser projection component, reducing the overall weight without compromising accuracy.

Additionally, the scanner includes a tripod to ensure stability when not in use.

This patent highlights the innovation in both the 3D scanner’s design and the layout of its optical imaging module.

Unlike other scanners that rely on assembled frames, NimbleTrack’s integrated frame simplifies assembly, boosts aesthetics, and improves stability, all while ensuring reliable, high-precision measurements.

03 Lightweight Design

• Compact Size

NimbleTrack stands out with its sleek, compact design, offering the perfect balance of portability and practicality for a user-friendly experience.

Its distinctive industrial look was officially recognized with the CN308982243S patent, granted in December 2024.

The patent protects key design elements, including the integrated frame, the uniform arrangement of target sets, and the strategic layout of its optical imaging components, all of which enhance both its appearance and functionality.

Lightweight Design

To make NimbleTrack more compact without sacrificing performance, our hardware team conducted extensive research and analysis.

They carefully selected the main chip and designed the core PCB, ensuring a lightweight structure that delivers reliable performance.

Compact Size

We revolutionized the device’s structure by embedding the laser emitter components into the target sets and integrating the battery into the handle.

These innovations reduced the scanner’s diameter to just 230mm and kept the weight at 1.3kg, making it both highly portable and stable.

Additionally, we optimized packaging, fitting the entire system into a single box, ensuring easy use and transportation.

Metrology-grade Accuracy

• Metrology-grade Accuracy

NimbleTrack offers an impressive accuracy of up to 0.025mm, with a volumetric accuracy of 0.064mm within its tracking range, making it ideal for high-precision measurements across various applications.
