Team Metrologically Speaking had the honour of meeting Radhika Madgulkar, Managing Director at Electronica Mechatronic Systems India Pvt. Ltd and Electronica Automations Pvt. Ltd. She goes on to quote Mark C. Malburg of Digital Metrology Solutions, Inc., “The value of a measurement isn’t in the result – it’s in what you do with it”. Further she says that worldwide, Metrology Equipment Manufacturers are focused on making these results readily and reliably available for the Quality Manager to act on them.
“With advent of Industry 4.0, the focus is now shifting to machine algorithms becoming intelligent so as to acknowledge, understand and correct errors automatically. Though this is futuristic, I could see this shift in current Control 2022 show held recently at Stuttgart, Germany”, Radhika Madgulkar.
At EMS, we have started working on incorporating sensor networks in our metrology equipment so that their results are available centrally. We have a long way to go but the overall response has been encouraging.
Greetings from Electronica Mechatronic Systems on World Metrology Day 2022.
