The acquisition of CIM3, an Italian reseller of Hexagon’s ESPRIT software, has been announced by Hexagon AB, a world leader in digital reality solutions combining sensor, software, and autonomous technologies.
High-performance computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software called ESPRIT focuses on simulation, optimization, and programming for CNC machines for precision machining. The scalable framework offers flexible support for multi-tasking, sophisticated Swiss-turning operations, wire electrical discharge machining (EDM), and additive manufacturing processes. It was developed in close collaboration with machine vendors.
One of the biggest distributors in Italy, CIM3 was established in 1990 and has been reselling ESPRIT products since 1998. The business supports ESPRIT consumers in Emilia Romagna, neighbouring Marche, and all of Italy from its headquarters in Ravenna. As part of Hexagon’s ongoing commitment to ESPRIT software support, CIM3’s skilled staff will continue to support the ESPRIT software portfolio as part of Hexagon’s direct organisation.
