Digital Surf Reveals Mountains® 10, Their Most Comprehensive Version Yet

The tenth major version of Digital Surf’s acclaimed Mountains® software analysis platform for surface metrology & microscopy, used by more than 22,000 users and 50+ of the world’s top instrument manufacturers, was just released.

Version 10 highlights include:

MountainsImage®, a new product family for light microscope users, offers a full toolkit for pre-processing and analysing picture data. The updated product range now offers tools for picture enhancement, measurement, luminance histograms, colour inversion, monochrome conversion, and particle analysis, including colour segmentation, fibre analysis, and image contour analysis.

In order to analyse aspheric optical surfaces and profiles in applications from several industries, such as imaging systems, sensors, and lasers, a new position-specific Lens Analysis module has been developed.

The development of automation capabilities, which are essential in today’s hectic industrial and research environments. In example, a new Automation tab now collects Mountains® productivity features such as document templates for processing huge volumes of measured data, user-defined analysis recipes (known as Minidocs), and customisation choices letting clients work more quickly.

Users can now compare measured Shell data with CAD models and get comprehensive surface texture analysis on this type of dataset using CAD comparison on Shell data (freeform surfaces).

A new spectral analysis product Only for users dealing with spectra, MountainsSpectral® Analyse features automatic peak detection, fitting, and parameter map production.

All product families, including those made for topographical analysis, are now included in the freshly launched Fibre analysis tool.

According to Christophe Mignot, CEO of Digital Surf, “In the ever-evolving surface metrology & microscopy industries, Digital Surf remains dedicated to building the best and most cutting-edge surface imaging and analysis software.” “Version 10 is our most thorough product release to date, filling in all the gaps between the different datatypes and instrument technologies we support, including topography analysis, image analysis, and spectroscopic analysis. We can’t wait to give our users Mountains® 10 and hear what they think.
