Smart Vision Lights wins Vision Systems Designs’ 2023 Innovators Award for Machine Vision

Two of Smart Vision Lights’ products have been honoured for excellence in machine vision by Vision Systems Design’s 2023 Innovators Awards programme, the company proudly announces. Smart Vision Lights (SVL) is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-brightness LED lights for industrial applications. Distinguished specialists from system integrators and end-user companies made up the judging panel.

The bronze medal went to Dual OverDrive technology featured in Lightgistics Series lights, while the platinum went to the DoAll Light, which is intended for robotic inspection. The award programme honours the vision and image processing sector’s most inventive goods and services.

The DoAll light combines six machine vision lights into one simple-to-use multifunctional device that is intended to be installed at the end of a robotic arm. This provides almost infinite illumination choices, making it ideal for carrying out repeated examinations where the best lighting varies depending on the type of inspection.

The DoAll is a paradigm-shifting device for highly automated robotic work cells, including those used for small-scale electronic assembly, large-scale automotive assembly, and more. Regardless of the sort of inspection, it gives the ideal illumination, according to Dave Spaulding, president and chief executive officer of Smart Vision Lights. It does everything, ensuring the proper lighting for any automated inspection, so it actually lives up to its name.

The Lightgistics Series lights use Smart Vision Lights’ Dual OverDrive technology, which produces up to ten times as much output as conventional continuous operation. With such a strong output, even glare-reducing polarizers produce incredibly brilliant light, which makes it simpler to take sharp pictures quickly.

“We’ve pushed the limits of what’s possible in high-speed imaging with our Dual OverDrive technology. Even at the quickest speeds, crisp photos can be produced thanks to their unmatched brightness, according to Spaulding.

Linda Wilson, Editor in Chief of Vision Systems Design, comments, “The Vision Systems Design team would like to congratulate Smart Vision Lights on their achievement in the 2023 Innovators Awards programme. This objective programme, which is becoming more and more competitive, strives to honour the machine vision industry’s leading systems and products. The people behind Smart Vision Lights should be quite proud.

“Being recognised by the Vision Systems Design’s Innovators Awards is a great honour for us,” continued Spaulding. It’s evidence of our team’s continued dedication to industry innovation and top-notch product delivery.
