Artec 3D brings Luxembourg’s heritage to life at World Expo 2025

Artec 3D is excited to announce its participation in the creation of a Luxembourg Pavilion for World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

Working with VR & AR specialist Virtual Rangers, Artec 3D is helping showcase Luxembourg’s cultural heritage by creating an immersive, interactive visitor experience using cutting-edge 3D scanning. Built around the theme of “Doki Doki” – the Japanese expression for an excited, beating heart – the Pavilion will highlight Luxembourg’s dynamic culture and achievements.

As part of this prestigious project, Artec 3D has been entrusted with the task of digitizing key elements of the Pavilion, and ensuring that its essence can be explored on-site and remotely.

Using its world-renowned 3D scanning and photogrammetry solutions, Artec 3D is creating high-resolution digital twins of iconic historic and cultural sites from across Luxembourg. The resulting highly detailed 3D models will be presented on the Pavilion, where they’ll allow visitors to discover the country’s rich history as if they were physically there.

Virtual Rangers is contributing by integrating these digital assets into an immersive VR environment, which will be made available for exploration via the Luxembourg Pavilion website and smartphone app.

“We are honored to bring Luxembourg’s history and culture to the global stage at World Expo 2025,” said Art Yukhin, President and CEO of Artec 3D. “Using our advanced 3D scanning technology, we aim to preserve and share the essence of Luxembourg, making it accessible to audiences far beyond the Expo.”

This collaboration not only represents a celebration of Luxembourg’s past but demonstrates its role as a future leader in digital innovation. Incorporating Artec 3D’s expertise into the Pavilion’s development also underscores the country’s commitment to preserving its heritage through state-of-the-art technology. Through the Pavilion, it is anticipated that visitors will be able to explore and appreciate Luxembourg’s treasures in a whole new way, both in Osaka and abroad.
