Artec 3D welcomes DLWI to pioneering production facility in Luxembourg

3D scanning hardware and software leader Artec 3D has given the Deutsch-Luxemburgische Wirtschaftsinitiative (DLWI) a tour of its state-of-the-art production facility in Luxembourg.

In line with the shared aim of fostering German-Luxembourgish ties, the visit saw Artec 3D experts guide guests, including DLWI President Stefan Pelger, around the complex on Oct. 10, 2024.

Featuring a cutting-edge, ISO-classified cleanroom, the complex is home to the production of Artec’s industry-leading 3D scanners. At the event, visitors were treated to a behind the scenes tour, as well as hands-on demos of the flagship Artec Leo and brand-new Artec Spider II.

In one showcase, 3D scanning a complex engine block covered in deep holes and fine details proved no problem at all. In another, Artec 3D Chief Experience Officer Sergey Sukhovey showed how Leo could be used to rapidly, accurately digitize attendees themselves, and create incredibly lifelike 3D models.

Inspired by these live-action demos, the DLWI business leaders later asked for more information about how the process worked, seemingly fascinated by the futuristic nature of the technology.

After an introduction to the wider Artec range, from the desktop Artec Micro II to the LiDAR Artec Ray II, guests were invited to network and discuss things further with specialists.

Having opened its doors to senior policymakers and students alike, the company is now seeking fresh opportunities to drive innovation, at a grassroots level and in the broader 3D scanning industry.
