On 5th July of this year, Big Zero Technology LLP celebrated the 3rd anniversary of its foundation. To mark this significant milestone, we got the CEO Akshay Singh talking to us. In a wide ranging interview, he reflects on the company’s 3rd anniversary and its contribution the field of metrology.
Excerpts from the interview :-
The Start – Big Zero Technology started from humble beginnings in the pre-pandemic year of 2018 as a metrology start-up. Today it has offices in Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad and Jamshedpur. With a work force of more than 25 people, it aims to cater to every segment of the industry.
Have you been able to match the vision with which you started ?? – Akshay goes on to say -“We started with a vision to help industries attain Smart, Latest, and Affordable High Tech Metrology Grade Solutions/ Equipment /Services and deliver affordable high-tech products without compromising on quality”. He further goes on say that even in times of pandemic, when the world came to a halt, Big Zero constantly developed itself and adapted to the pandemic world. With a passionate and dedicated workforce, complying with the said vision was a pretty easy thing to do.
The Journey so far – Big Zero has not only attained success in the Indian market but has also helped industries to grow through their smart and High-tech metrology-grade solutions. With a wide range of products like laser trackers, structured light scanner, scanner arms, handheld scanners, video measuring systems, and so on, they provide and deliver state-of-the-art metrology solutions for every segment of the industry. Mr Singh further goes on to reiterate “Our non-contact laser trackers and portable scanning solutions, not only provide efficiency but also improves consistency and reliability. We have been able to create innovative products through our extensive knowledge and experience in the metrology industry. We strive to deliver the best solutions for every industrial niche which perfectly suits their needs and budgets. Where the giants are defining smart factories and future trends, Big Zero is delivering the future at your doorsteps”.
Big Zero is associated with metrology majors like GOM Gmbh, API(Automated Precision Inc. India), Kreon, Taylor Hobson and Renishaw.
Challenges – Covid-19 presented a set of challenges that no one on earth was prepared or had ready answers to it. Akshay says that over the past 15 years he has seen the metrology industry evolve from just a CMM based market. Post Covid-19, this evolution has fast tracked itself in a completely different direction. Big Zero is happy to embrace the challenges, adapt accordingly and be omnipresent with viable metrology solutions.
Way Ahead – We have seen rapid growth in the demand for metrology equipment in the past decade. With metrology companies evolving and adopting new methods, Big Zero has adapted to this change and has evolved into a leading metrology service provider in India. We aim to be among the top players in the metrology market, and with our vision of inclusive and unilateral growth, we believe in achieving it soon. Our approach to adapting to the ever-changing industrial trends and customer behaviour and needs has not only helped us serve our customers better but also helped us to evolve as a leading metrology solutions provider. Today the customer requires an efficient and cost-effective solution with minimum lead-time. Mr Akshay says that the trying times have taught us to be “comfortable in being un-comfortable“. Going ahead he wants brand Big Zero to be considered by parties in India, whenever and wherever there is a need metrology solutions. We have an insatiable hunger to grow and become one of the top metrology solutions providers in the Indian market.
