Former Volvo Exec Appointed VP of Strategic Partnerships at UVeye

As executive vice president for strategic partnerships, Rick Bryant, who was previously executive vice president of sales for Volvo Cars US, has joined UVeye.

Bryant will be responsible for developing new relationships with major automotive dealership groups, fleet customers, and used-car auctions in North America and other parts of the world, according to CEO and co-founder Amir Hever of UVeye.

Hanaco VC, a venture capital firm with $1.5 billion in assets under management with offices in New York and Tel Aviv, was in charge of the company’s recently concluded Series D investment round. In addition, GM Ventures, CarMax, W.R. Berkley Corporation, and F.I.T. Ventures L.P., as well as a number of Israeli institutional investors, participated in UVeye’s most recent round.

From 2013 to December 2022, Bryant held the position of executive vice president of sales operations for Volvo Cars USA. After starting with the business in 1993 as an aftermarket sales manager, he progressed to senior management roles in commercial sales, regional operations, and customer service. He recently worked in deals with different other auto brands, including Subaru, BMW, Buick and Honda.

At the moment, UVeye has locations in Germany, Israel, Japan, and the United States. Since its inception in 2016, the business has established strategic partnerships with numerous automakers, dealership groups, and used-car auctions in addition to raising $200 million in investment capital.

UVeye’s vehicle inspection systems, which are the first of their kind in the industry and are based on cutting-edge artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning technologies, are available to the automotive and homeland security sectors from its headquarters in Teaneck, New Jersey, as well as Tel Aviv, Israel. Bryant went to Connecticut’s University of Bridgeport. He was born in Boston, now lives in the New York City area, and he will work out of UVeye’s offices in Teaneck.
