3D Scan Academy Recommends SHINING 3D Solutions
Lutz quickly offered industrial metrology solutions from SHINING 3D early on. He selected these SHINING 3D goods because “they are easy to learn, comply with modern requirements, [offer] a competitive price-to-performance ratio, and are very flexible in terms of applications.”
Sven and the SEAD team were shown the FreeScan lineup by 3D Scan Academy. The crew was persuaded by the goods’ feel, quality, and performance during the demos. Waiting for the then-upcoming FreeScan UE Pro release was advised by 3D Scan Academy.
Given that it was “capable, with its high resolution, of scanning very small and delicate parts while it is also able to digitize large objects, like entire vehicles,” as stated by Lutz, the FreeScan UE Pro did indeed seem to be the perfect choice for them. “It has a great potential to flexibly do large and complex scan jobs cleanly and quickly through the use of photogrammetry,” he stated.
SEAD was specifically looking for a versatile instrument with cutting-edge technology to round out its offering of superior 3D scanning services. FreeScan UE Pro, according to Lutz, “can be used in several situations without the need to carry multiple scanners and thus always [provides] the perfect setup.”
3D Scan Academy also suggested the SHINING 3D Transcan C to round out the set. The Transcan C’s 12MP cameras enable it to record both the geometry and colors of things in addition to their textures. SEAD is now able to produce excellent, photorealistic digital twins.
The FreeScan UE Pro and Transcan C were the perfect scanners for SEAD, in Lutz’s opinion. For engineering or inspection applications, one offers metrology-grade 3D models, while for virtual display cases, the other offers colored 3D models.
