Metrologic Group and Renishaw will provide the industry with cutting-edge 3D inspection solutions.

Renishaw and Metrologic Group have strengthened their partnership by signing a new strategic agreement, 20 years after their initial agreement, to address fresh problems facing the industrial sector. Renishaw’s REVO® 5-axis CMM scanning systems, PH20 5-axis touch-trigger systems, and EquatorTM shopfloor gauging system, all powered by Metrologic’s X4 software platform, will be advantageous to customers. World-class metrology systems will be fully integrated with the X4 software platform as a result.

In order to provide Renishaw’s products with a user-friendly, perceptive, and ergonomic solution, Metrologic Group is introducing new developments to its distinctive universal software platform, which spans the entire manufacturing chain and draws on its expertise in 5-axis technology applications and the Equator gauging system.

The ideal pairing of Metrolog X4 and Renishaw’s Equator system enables the end-user to bring 3D measurement close to the manufacturing line through this win-win collaboration. Moreover, manufacturers may raise their CMM production at unequalled measurement speed, improve part quality, and decrease scrap owing to 5-axis technology combined with the simplicity of programming provided by Metrologic Group software.

“We are dedicated to collaborating with our clients to raise productivity levels and bring 3D metrology closer to the production line. As a result, Laurent Monge, President of Metrologic Group, said “I am certain that merging Renishaw 5-axis technologies with the Metrologic Group software solution constitutes a crucial milestone in that path.

Renishaw’s market-leading measuring technology will be integrated with Metrolog X4 to provide precise, high-speed, multi-sensor CMM measurement and quick, flexible shopfloor gauging to existing and new Metrolog software users. According to Victor Escobar, President of Renishaw SAS, “This integration of Metrologic and Renishaw technology will enable substantially faster, value-added measurement for both process control at the point of manufacture and traditional quality assurance activities.

In addition to ensuring that customers have access to a fully packaged and tested solution, the recently inked partnership between Metrologic Group and Renishaw will enable cross-company cooperation and commercialization.
